BDB’s “Start the Conversation” awareness campaign officially launches August 18th when the Town of Collingwood’s Clock Tower will be lit in green to highlight BDB. The Tower will be lit green through to August 24th.
The Town is running a pilot project called “Light Up the Town”. Organizations were invited to apply to have the Clock Tower lit in a colour representing their organization or event. We chose “green” to highlight the “Start” in our campaign name.
When spotted wearing your BDB mask, tell people who we are and how we support individuals with disabilities who live in our community.
We are encouraging everyone to head to the Clock Tower over the week and take a selfie with your mask and the lit Tower. If you’re on social media, post and tag us. If you’re not using social, send your picture in and we will post for you.
